I relate to this so much! I left work when my daughter was born 13 months ago, and I struggled so much with the decision to be a stay-at-home mom. But it’s afforded me the opportunity to pursue my writing and to not miss out on my baby’s early years. I, too, have a great husband who helps out when he can so I can try to carve out some small moments for myself, but it can be hard to watch others just do whatever they want whenever they want without giving a second thought to how in the world to make it possible. I find myself thinking, “must be nice.” And then I feel guilty too!

I’m with you! I have no idea what I’m doing, but it feels like part of the mom journey that will probably never completely end. Thanks for sharing and being honest! It’s nice to know we’re not alone in those ambivalent feelings.
