3 Takeaways From My 3 Highest Earning Freelancing Months So Far

A few months ago, I wrote a piece as a reentry to Medium after a short hiatus during which I built a Fiverr business. I learned a lot over that time, mostly about myself and a little about the type of people that seek out freelancers on platforms like Fiverr, which I shared there along with a very loose promise to find the balance of time to return to my Medium writing. I kept my promise at first, and then I got busy.

I don’t mean like, busy and forgot to try to do both. I mean like, so busy every single spare moment of my day was spent working on Fiverr orders. I was busting out content like nobody’s business.

If you’re not familiar with my situation, I stay home with my almost 15-month-old daughter full time, having left my former teaching career to do so. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made for many reasons, one of which is that this time has given me what my husband and I call a Golden Ticket to rediscover my passions and talents and change the trajectory of my professional adult life. I took the opportunity to do something I’ve always loved: writing. However, I didn’t want my pursuit of this passion project to overshadow the core reason why I left my job to begin with…
